Easy to use while flying
Simple one-handed operation is the most essential feature of the
IC-A24. The well labeled, large keypad provides user friendly operation.
The large display shows both letters and numbers and is easy to see,
making for fast frequency recognition. The display is backlit, and so is
the keypad. The light stays on until you turn it off – a very handy
feature for flying at night.
" Flip-flop " channel recall
The IC-A24 stores the last 10 channels used. You can easily recall
those channels by pushing the " flip-flop " recall buttons on the front
panel. It is convenient for switching between several channels, such as
NAV and COM channels.
VOR navigation
The IC-A24 has VOR navigation functions. The DVOR mode shows the radial
to or from a VOR station and the CDI mode shows the course deviation
to/ from a VOR station. You can also input your intended radial to/ from
the VOR station and show the course deviation on the display. In the
USA version, the duplex operation allows you to call a COM channel,
while you are using VOR navigation.
External DC power jack
An external DC power jack allows for operation with the wall charger,
BC-110 or the cigarette lighter cable, CP-20. When the battery pack is
installed, simultaneous charging during operation is also possible. In
addition, an optional battery case, BP-208N, is available.
Water resistant construction
The water resistant construction provides reliable operation in wet conditions.

Double conversion superheterodyne
Icom' s basic idea about the best receiver circuit is to reproduce high
fidelity audio without internal distortion. Our answer to achieve this
goal is to adopt a double conversion superheterodyne system* . The
double conversion system simplifies the electronic circuitry and reduces
the number of components which cause internal distortion. The digital
signal processing ( DSP) technologies and image rejection mixer make it
possible to adopt this system.
* A triple conversion system is used for the 1200MHz band.
Independent dual receivers
As seen in the above figure, the IC-9100 has 3 independent receiver
circuits from the antenna connector to the second IF mixer ( image
rejection mixer) . One each for HF/ 50MHz, 144MHz, 430/ 440MHz bands.
See the table below for simultaneous receive pairs.
AGC loop management
Digital IF filters, manual notch filter and other digital functions are
incorporated in the AGC loop management controlled by the DSP unit. The
AGC effectively works for the desired signal and rejects blocking by
strong adjacent signals out of the filter passband. The AGC time
constant presets ( slow, medium and fast) give the flexibility and speed
needed for working pile-ups.

Large, bright OLED display
The IC-A210 has an organic light emitting diode ( OLED) display. The
display offers many advantages in brightness, vividness, contrast,
viewing angle and response time compared to a conventional display. In
addition, the auto dimmer function adjusts the display for optimum
brightness at day or night.
Easy channel selection
It' s fast and easy to select any of the memory channels in the
IC-A210. The " fl ip-fl op " arrow button switches between main and
stand-by channels. The dualwatch function allows you to monitor two
channels simultaneously. In addition, the auto stack memory stores the
last 10 channels used and allows you to recall those channels easily.
GPS memory function
When connected to an external GPS receiver* equipped with an airport
frequency database, the frequency data such as nearby airports can be
transferred and made available in the IC-A210.

12V/ 24V DC power source
The built-in DC-DC converter accepts a 12/ 24V DC power source. The IC-A210 is easily installed in most airplanes or vehicles.
Intercom functions
The IC-A210 has a built-in voice activated intercom function allowing
the pilot to talk with the co-pilot via the headset. The IC-A210 has
adjustable audio level and squelch control functions.
Easy installation
The IC-A210 neatly fits inside the common mounting brackets used on
most airplanes including Icom' s IC-A200. Two types of rear-panel
adapters are included, allowing for streamlined plug-in connectivity.

If you have two antennas, diversity receive* capability is useful for

presents an easy-to-read graphical interface, viewableover a wide angle.
Push the " Function " button to call up the assignedfunctions menu on

Separate controller from main unit
Symmetric layout and easy-to-read graphical interfaceThe controller is

This automatic antenna tuner is optional for the IC-706MkIIG which does
not have its own built-in ATU or the IC-703 which does. The ATU-180
covers 160m to 6m and handles VSWRs up to about 3: 1. It does not handle
long wire antennas. It is particularly suitable for mobile operation
where the effective bandwidth of the mobile antenna can be significantly
extended without physically altering the antenna length. The use of the
AT-180 permits the transceiver to produce full power output when faced
with VSWRs up to 3: 1. Connection requires just the supplied accessory
lead to be inserted between the rig and AT-180 and the supplied coax
patch lead between the transceiver and the AT-180. The 12V DC supply is
taken from the back of the transceiver via the accessory lead so no
external 12V supply is needed.

Dynamic range characteristics Icom' s 40 years of analog RF circuit
experience combined with cutting edge digital technology results in an
astonishing 110dB receiver dynamic range and a + 40dBm IP3 in the HF
bands. A first in Ham radio! To achieve this superior receiver
performance, Icom' s engineering team completely reviewed the whole
analog circuit and matched it to the DSP units. This allowed us to
explore new technical dimensions such as a double conversion
super-heterodyne system, mechanical relay BPF switching and two roofing
filters.
Mechanical relay BPF ( Band Pass filter) switching and two roofing filters
The IC-7800 uses highly reliable and durable mechanical relays for BPF
switching instead of non-linear semi-conductors which cause distortion.
The mechanical relay prevents 2nd order distortion at the primary stage
of signal processing. The IC-7800 has two roofing filters before the 1st
IF amplifier stage. One is 15kHz fileter for FM mode and the other is
6kHz filter for SSB, CW, AM and data modes. The IC-7800 switches between
these two roofing filters depending on operating mode. Typically,
transceivers use only one broad 15kHz roofing filter for all modes. This
is not an optimal design for SSB, CW, or AM modes. The two roofing
filters dramatically improve the blocking characteristics from strong
adjacent signals.
Automatic tracking pre-selector
The pre-selector works from 1.5MHz to 30MHz. The preselector
automatically tracks the intended signal, keeping the pre-selectorý fs
bandwidth centered on the operating frequency at several kHz steps (
minimum) . The preselector rejects unwanted out of band interference
from multi-multi operation or strong broadcast stations, as your first
line of defense against interfering signals. The center frequency of the
pre-selector is adjustable from the DIGI-SEL tuning knob on the front
panel.
Double conversion super-heterodyne system
While mixers often become a cause of signal distortion and spurious
emissions, the IC-7800 utilizes a double conversion super-heterodyne
system using a newly developed image rejection mixer. A high performance
D-MOS FET array for the 1st mixer stage is infused with a signal from
the high-level C/ N, high-drive Local Oscillator from the PLL unit. This
new mixer reduces signal distortion through IF processing and provides a
high-fidelity signal to the DSP unit.
AGC loop management using the DSP unit
The IC-7800 has two types of AGC loops. One of the AGC loops detects
the AGC voltage at the BPF input in the DSP unit and feeds back to the
1st IF amplifier. This AGC loop prevents the saturation of the 1st IF
amplifier from strong signals out of the BPF bandwidth, and improves the
dynamic range against adjacent signals. The other AGC loop detects the
AGC voltage at the digital IF filter output which has only passed the
intended signal and draws the full potential from the digital IF filter.
Combining the digital IF filter, manual notch, and the 1st IF stage,
these are all controlled by the DSP unit. 110dB of ultra wide dynamic
range in the receiver means the IF amplifier is distortion free from
strong signals.
AGC Volume knob for fine tuning
AGC setting screen In addition to the preset AGC time constants ( slow,
medium and fast) , the manual AGC volume provides flexible detailed AGC
tuning.
Two completely independent receiver circuits
The ultimate dual receiver performance is at your control; the
receivers are completely independent all the way from the 4 antenna
jacks, through the pre-selectors, DSP, signal detectors, front panel
control, and right into the stereo headphone! The dual receiver allows
you to receive two different bands simultaneously in different modes,
with each receiver not causing any adverse affect to the other one. This
true dual receiver takes your band hopping and contesting experience to
the next level!
Digital IF filter
Filter preset screen The digital IF filter has superior filtering
performance and a distinguished shaping factor that demonstrates the
power of 32-bit floating point DSP. The digital filter is completely
free from deterioration due to deviations in band characteristics,
temperature change, or mechanical vibration, all of which have likely
been seen with analog filters. The digital IF filter also provides
excellent ripple characteristics and clean cut that have never been
available with analog filters. The filter shape is selectable from soft
and sharp, depending on the purpose, operating band, band conditions,
etc. It is also possible to set CW and SSB filter characteristics
independently, and also select the filter shape while actually receiving
a signal.
Manual notch filter with adjustable notch filter characteristics
Manual Notch ( Wide/ Middle/ Narrow) The IC-7800' s manual notch filter
shape can be set in 3- steps for the various receiving conditions. The
manual notch filter has extremely sharp characteristics for processing
in the DSP and provides tremendous performance for attenuation levels of
more than 70dB in all shapes. The DSP-based manual notch provides
stable performance and completely shuts off undesired beat signals
without affecting AGC gain. In addition, an automatic notch filter
tracks and wipes off the beat signal and RTTY interference.
Four 32-bit floating point DSP units and 24-bit AD/ DA converters
32-bit Floating point DSP chip The IC-7800 uses four pairs of 32-bit
floating point DSP units and 24-bit AD/ DA converters. One for the
transmitter, one for each receiver, and the final one for the spectrum
scope. The DSP units deliver the phenomenal performance of the digital
signal processing. A powerful combination born of Icomý fs analog RF
technology and experience.
200W output power at full duty cycle
PA Unit and large heat sink The newly designed push-pull power MOS-FET
amplifiers work with 48V DC and provide a powerful 200W of output power
at full duty cycle with low IMD in all bands. The digital PSN modulator
using a dedicated DSP unit consistently reproduces an outstanding
signal-to-noise ratio, providing clean and clear transmission.
Ultra high stability OCXO unit

RTTY Decode screen The IC-7800 has a modulator and demodulator for the 2
major HF ham digital modes. Encode and decode of PSK31 and Baudot RTTY
signals are possible by simply connecting a USB keyboard to the IC-7800.
The twin peak audio filter improves RTTY reception. In addition,
transmitted and received messages can be stored to the CF memory card
and transferred to your PC.

Meets GMDSS requirements
The IC-GM651 is a compact VHF radio telephone with Ch 70 watchkeeping
receiver and CLASS A DSC functions. The radio meets the GMDSS
requirements as required for SOLAS regulated commercial vessels engaging
in international voyages. With the optional PS-250 DC-DC power supply,
the IC-GM651 also meets MED 96/ 98/ EC, " wheelmark " requirements for
European merchant ships.
Built-in ITU Class A DSC
An independent DSC receiver constantly watches Ch 70 VHF DSC channel,
while using another channel. The Class A DSC provides automated distress
and safety communication. Received distress signals can be relayed to a
coast station. A total of 100 MMSI IDs can be stored with a
10-character name.
PS-250 DC-DC power supply and PS-240 AC-DC power supply available
The optional PS-250* DC-DC power supply offers stable 12.5V power to
the IC-GM651 from a 12V/ 24V DC ( 10.8– 31.2V DC) power source and
provides floating ground connection. The optional PS-240 AC-DC power
supply unit is also available with the PS-250. When connecting a storage
battery to the PS-240, the PS-240 automatically switches the power
source for backup, even if the AC power fails.

ICOM IC-GM651 Marine Radio
Meets GMDSS requirements
The IC-GM651 is a compact VHF radio telephone with Ch 70 watchkeeping
receiver and CLASS A DSC functions. The radio meets the GMDSS
requirements as required for SOLAS regulated commercial vessels engaging
in international voyages. With the optional PS-250 DC-DC power supply,
the IC-GM651 also meets MED 96/ 98/ EC, " wheelmark " requirements for
European merchant ships.
Built-in ITU Class A DSC
An independent DSC receiver constantly watches Ch 70 VHF DSC channel,
while using another channel. The Class A DSC provides automated distress
and safety communication. Received distress signals can be relayed to a
coast station. A total of 100 MMSI IDs can be stored with a
10-character name.
PS-250 DC-DC power supply and PS-240 AC-DC power supply available
The optional PS-250* DC-DC power supply offers stable 12.5V power to
the IC-GM651 from a 12V/ 24V DC ( 10.8– 31.2V DC) power source and
provides floating ground connection. The optional PS-240 AC-DC power
supply unit is also available with the PS-250. When connecting a storage
battery to the PS-240, the PS-240 automatically switches the power
source for backup, even if the AC power fails.
* The PS-250 MUST BE USED with the IC-GM651 for MED certification compliance.
HS-98 Handset and/ or HM-126RB-1
speaker-microphone selectable
The IC-GM651 gives you the choice of a handset and/ or
speaker-microphone. The handset provides clear audio even in noisy
environments. The speaker-microphone has a remote control function to
control operating channel and transmit power with dedicated buttons.
Rugged and waterproof construction* for professional use
To withstand harsh marine environments, the IC-GM651 has been tested to
and passed the rigorous salt spray test. In addition, the front panel
of the IC-GM651 has waterproof protection equivalent to IPX7 which
withstands 1m depth of water for up to 30 minutes.

Large full dot-matrix display
The large full dot-matrix display provides an easy-to-see user friendly
graphical interface. DSC operations can be made easily with the
operation guide on the bottom line of the display such as " ENT " to
Set ( OK) , " CLR " to Go back ( BACK) , " F8 " to Print ( PRT) , etc.
The message icon ( icon ) on the display shows you have a new DSC
message.
Superior receiver performance
The IC-GM651 has excellent receive performance which allows a weak
signal a better chance of being heard when louder signals are around it.
The powerful audio output from the front facing large 66mm diameter
speaker further increases the audibility and quality of received calls.
Slim dimensions for clean installation
The 109.4 mm* depth and 4× 8 " stylish design is easy to install into a
limited space. Flush mount installation is available with the MB-75
flush mount kit.

Meets strict environmental requirements for GMDSS
The IC-GM1600 meets temperature, thermal shock, vibration and drop
resistant ( from 1 m height) requirements. After passing those
environmental tests, the IC-GM1600 retains 1m depth waterproof
construction as specified by IMO resolution A.809( 19) and other related
regulations.
Superior low temperature characteristic Lithium battery pack
For survival craft use, the optional BP-234 ( non-rechargeable) 3300mAh
lithium battery pack provides more than 8 hours* of operating time even
at – 20° C.

Large keypad with positive button action
Large buttons and knobs provide tactile feedback for positive operation.
Wide viewing angle LCD display
A wide viewing angle, high intensity LCD offers extra clear, easy to
read characters. The bright LED indicator on the top of the panel shows
the operating condition clearly.
Easy to operate even for unskilled operators
Operation instructions are printed on the rear panel. All operations can be made with one hand.
